The Beamsville & District Lions Club meet every 2nd & 4th Tuesday at 6:30 pm at the Lions Community Hall, 4283 Mountain St. (just south of King St.) For information contact Bob Cranfield at (905)563-7320 or Roger Judge at (905) 562-8217.
The Beamsville & District Lions Club was formed on May 3, 1939. The club was sponsored by the Grimsby Lions Club and had 29 Charter members. One of those Charter members, Walter Howard, is still with us today, residing in Burlington, Ontario.
Lions clubs are non-political, non-secretarian service clubs composed of the residents of the community, who are prepared to give a little time back to their community in volunteer work.
Lions recognize community needs and develop means to meet those needs through a cooperative effort of their members.
Lionism is not only work, it is the fellowship, fun and social life which is fostered as we assist the community and work to help those less fortunate than ourselves.
